YON is hands down my all-time fave lesbian movie, no contest. The fact it was one of the first thai wlw movies/lakorns just makes it so iconic too.
The total opposite of modern thai bl/gl which is trash. The plots are wack and a lot of the actors end up being exposed as shitty people in real life like homophobes, bullies, only in it for the fame.
The storytelling and character development in yon is just chef's kiss 💋 Their chemistry and slow burn will honestly never be topped. It tackled so many important issues, but in a sweet, respectful way. Very ahead of its time too.
