Women Talking
men are afraid to let women speak, to dream, to be intelligent. because once they are they lose their power.

A bottle film with not much extension from the main setting. The movie really peaked my interest from early on with discussion of moral ambiguity and what makes things right or wrong. The nature of the story wasn’t too much in my interests but I do like these self aware debates.

Very slow movie, but the dialogue and use of flashbacks are more than effective at telling the story without having to actually show you. The acting was INCREDIBLE throughout, especially from Claire Foy. Solid and emotional movie

Two reasons why I watched this film: (1) It is nominated for best picture for the Oscars. (2) Rooney Mara & Frances McDormand. This movie just gives me cringy cult vibes and was just slow throughout. The acting is solid it’s just not my forte.

I couldn’t make it very far it’s a bit boring and slow going. If I hear the words staying and fighting or leaving again I’m going to lose it.

It’s hard to put this into words. What seems like a relatively simple premise is so gripping and moving from start to finish that I couldn’t look away.
Every single performance in this was impressive, but Jessie Buckley is on another level. Some of the most compelling acting I’ve seen.
This film is so inspiring, heartbreaking and beautiful in every sense of the word. I’m so grateful to have seen it.
“We didn't talk about our bodies. So when something like this happened there was no language for it. And without language for it, there was a gaping silence. And in that gaping silence was the real horror.”

This movie is absolutely beautiful! The cinematography is fantastic and the story is just so melancholic but in a beautiful way!

Women Talking
Beautiful and profound, while at the same time deeply ordinary. It sums up the experiences, thought processes, and pain of women the world over through conversation and memory.

Jessie Buckley steals the show for me in this intriguing woman empowerment movie. If you are a fan of great acting and/or great scripts then this is a great recommendation for you

Just amazing, the dialogue is so unique on how each women sees the potential the ups and downs and how she thinks is suitable for her family. None of them are selfish they just want security and protection. Just amazing

I was nervous it would be too dark but I loved the way the story was told. It was about the women and not the men. It was about their legacy and not what happened to them. Each actor brought their A game.
