The La Lupe song at the end made me like it even more, brilliant! The melodramatic yet comedic dialogue made it feel telenovela coded and it’s also a super stylish looking film. Candela’s character was pure comedy tho 😂.

Totally insane. Amazing design, amazing script, amazing cast.

Fifth film for my Spanish Cinema class.

As someone who doesn’t speak Spanish, the comedy aspect of this film gets lost in translation. What i mean is that reading the words for a comedy is different than actually being able to fully immerse yourself in it. Therefore, i didn’t find this film funny, although im sure it is if you’re a Spanish speaker.

Along with the bump in the comedy, it made the story less interesting and communicative. It made me a little bored.

Really, REALLY funny. There are about a dozen spoilers that aren’t believable when written here, Fuck you

A classic! This movie comes to mind anytime someone mentions gazpacho— very funny almost campy movie I love it!

wonderfully hectic, hilarious, smart, and poignant. almodóvar’s stylistic choices are also beautiful.
