Normally religious films like this would've bored me easily, but something about the heavy dialogue had me invested in this asshole of a pastor. Had me feeling like a piece of shit when he was going off on Marta.

previously I wrote this off as mid tier bergman, but upon rewatching first reformed and simply having a better grasp on bergman as an artist, I can see why people love this so much

also genuinely has some of the best melancholy yet accurate winter vibes i’ve seen
