Rating: 5/10

Wild Card is a tonally disastrous misfire that wastes a sharp script and committed performance from Jason Statham. The film shifts awkwardly between a character-driven drama and generic action flick, failing to succeed as either.

Highlights
- Sharp Dialogue: The screenplay by William Goldman features witty and well-written dialogue.
- Strong Performance: Jason Statham delivers a nuanced performance, showcasing his dramatic acting chops.
- Competent Action: The action sequences are competently staged.

Criticisms
- Tonal Disaster: The film's tone is jarring and uneven, shifting between dialogue-driven drama and generic action.
- Unfocused Plot: The plot is meandering and unfocused, resolving the central revenge story too quickly.
- Dull Pacing: The pacing is sluggish and boring, making the film frustrating to watch.

Verdict
Wild Card is a failed experiment that wastes an incredible script and great cast on a confused and poorly executed vision. It's a lifeless and forgettable thriller that's a low point in Jason Statham's filmography.
