One of the best performances i've ever seen, great transitions and camera work too. Reminded me of marriage story, it feels like it took a lot of inspiration from this. 4/5

I read the play and it was a little hard to get through. The movie version is even harder. They constantly repeat the same things over and over. I don’t understand how any of them are still standing that that many drinks!!

4/23/26: I just saw an original 35 mm print at the library of congress 😭😭😭 this movie has such fantastic minutiae in acting, camera work, and cinematography to tell a story that sinks deep in your skin. It feels too modern to be from the 60s, i cannot believe more haven’t seen this movie. read my previous review!!

Incredibly well made and acted. Good dialogue too. I just don’t really like it? The thinnest hair above “meh”. Wasn’t looking to watch a 2hr argument the movie I guess?

I didn’t know what to expect, but it certainly wasn’t a night-long argument between 4 very drunk people that keeps escalating and de-escalating non-stop. So much yelling. I fell asleep at some point, missed the middle of it, and was on my phone for the rest of it to stay awake.

The subject matter in this drama is one I don't like sitting through, at least for the majority of the film, but the final act did grip me, but also not enough to say I liked the film. The performances are great between the four, and there's no doubt about that.

Incredible script and performances, movie is tense, dramatic, emotional and delves into the harshness of reality while balancing fun moments and great dialogue

2/10 for the concept. -100/10 for the execution because oh my god they would not stop talking. this movie felt like it was 4 hours long

Any likable characters are stripped of their likability. No one to identify with. Very awkward. Very stressful. Violence would’ve escalated.

Fantastic! Obviously some inspiration for Eyes Wide Shut theme wise
