I feel like this movie would make more sense and would be better if I was on meth

Pretentious confusing mess. The first and second halves are two completely different stories. The writing and execution of dialogue feels like a bad high school play.

What was this movie about honestly? Did I just not get it how is it like number 2 and it makes no sense to me

I don’t understand this movie but I’m sure someone will make a video essay about it and explain it to me. It was really like odd and unsettling but like not cause of the humor? Idk how to explain its it’s just odd

Not even exaggerating, but probably one of the worst movies I have ever seen… total waste of time.

Only watched 30 mins of it and it is basically just white noise the whole time just white people talking over each other and you have no idea what they’re even saying or talking about so not entertaining at all and I’m not gonna revisit it it’s just that annoying … bye

Fitting name. Probably won’t ever watch it again.

Definitely hit a nostalgic vibe. The acting was good but other than that the story wasn’t enough to keep me glued to the screen. There were times when I was just waiting for the film to end. I personally would not sit through this a second time

Probably didn’t fully understand it but loved it ! Maybe I was biased because marriage story is my favorite movie 🤷‍♀️ but still, the kind of movie you watch closely. I loved how the plot is unclear, there is no clue where the story is leading. I should definitely read the novel !!

Different from your usual movie but liked the writing.

Only made it though half before turning it off. So much dialogue that it was making me crazy. Might go back and finish it but not likely.

Super fun and absurd and such witty writing. I read the book when I was younger and this honors it well.

What the shart.

I watched this so i didn’t have to read the book for class and honestly I probably would’ve really struggled reading a story like this.

Noah Baumbach created a crazily anxious film. The whole time i was watching this i was feeling very uneasy.

The awkwardness of the acting really fuels that panic feeling. You could honestly compare the feeling of this to a Safdie movie.

The directing was really great though. I thought this movie looked great and the acting, score, shots, etc all came together to really bring an uncomfortable feeling.

I’m gonna be screwed on the assignments about this.

Absurdly entertaining. Dialogue and characters that defy reality. Commentary on the mundanity of every day life and the fear of living itself.
