I think I lost an hour and a half of my life. This movie tries to do so many things and yet does nothing. Aside from demonstrating societal views of the 70s and views on elderly people that still endure today, this movie has nothing to offer. It’s a shame too because this role is perfect for Ruth but the lack of plot failed her. This movie could have been shortened by an hour and you wouldn’t miss a thing.

A masterclass in dark comedy from Carl Reiner. Surprisingly, this film does hold up since it’s release.
