Not what I was expecting in the slightest, in the best way possible. What We Do In The Shadows is a prime time example of the gold standard of mockumentarys, it’s funny, it’s scary at times, and it’s everything Blair Witch wishes it was.

1st Act 9.1/10 (Great setups, makes you love the characters straight from the get go and not to mention it brings in the one and only Stu.)

2nd Act 9.4/10 (NOOOOO MY SWEET SWEET PETYR.)

3rd Act 9.3/10 (The whole werwolf scene was genuinely better than anything I’ve ever seen in a found footage movie.)

Plot 9.2/10 (Wafer thin, Filled with substance, like a cream-pied Kit Kat.)

Soundtrack/Score 8.5/10 (Did its job well, but didn’t fully amaze me.)

Acting 8.9/10 (Amazing from everyone involved, though wooden from everyone not in the main crew.)

Pacing 9.4/10 (Keeps you entertained with actually funny jokes for the entire runtime.)

Cinematography 9.2/10 (Loved the city shots and the whole Catherine waiting shots.)

Character Development 9.5/10 (The fact I wanted to go and watch all the spin offs related to these characters because I loved them so much, especially my goats Deacon and Stu.)

Writing 9.7/10 (Not one joke doesn’t land the whole fucking time.)

Ending 9.3/10 (Felt like it could have ended multiple times, but still, amazing with the one we got.)

Direction 9.1/10 (Loved the cuts, this is definitely Taika Waititi best film.)
