What's Love Got to Do with It?

Definitely got emotional watching this. Great representation for Muslim/Pakistanis and so beautiful to see a story like this on this big screen. Gives you a well-balanced perspective on arranged marriages and such great chemistry between the two leads.

I liked the insight on some Muslim weddings, which made me happy since I have a Muslim boyfriend myself. I just wish that the ending was a little better.

Mixed emotions with this film. Love the Muslim/Pakistani representation spread all throughout the film and the way it attempts to eliminate the stigma around arranged marriages. Wasn’t too fond of the white lens which was weirdly addressed in the story. Still a cute romcom.

truly couldn't have cared less if the main characters ended up together in the end and it didn't really feel like a comedy nor a romance but it was a really touching story about family and culture and the reunion at the end made me cry

It’s a traditional rom com with a Pakistani twist. I love the representation and the arranged marriage story line was a welcomed difference. However the main characters lacked personality to me and just fell flat. I didn’t feel any chemistry with them and that’s needed in a film like this.

Interesting topic to address in a “rom-com”, especially since it's a pretty depressing subject matter.. I liked the story and it moved me, but honestly, there was no “romantic” chemistry between the protagonists.
