I liked this movie a lot more than I thought I would. A beautiful but very grotesque way of portraying grief. Cool to see a character showing respect to an animal even when it in the process of killing him.

Exactly what I was hoping for. Tense, claustrophobic, emotional, I loved it!

this was so beautiful, not just cause of austin. i saw this with my best friend and we were wanting two things wet hair austin, and crying austin, that was deadass the whole movie and i loved it. i watched it was a bitch (my bff) who LOVESSSSSSS whale and that girl was SOBBBBBING. she has like a spiritual love for whales and seeing her love it so much genuinely made me love it more

no but like legit for a while i was like “yeah it’s a decent movie, prolly give it like a 6/10. but no. the ending. holy cow i was a mess in the theater
mess of snot and tears and sad sniffles
it was rlly relatable in a rlly bad way
now… his dad talking to him at first was kinda cheesy… but than as he kept talking to him as the whale i was like…. oh shoot i’m crying
but yeah, i’d give it a solid 8.5/10
i really did like it, it made me super uncomfortable and sad (the part where his ears popped twice made me physically recoil)
also austin abrams does such an amazing job, plz continue to put him in everything. i love his screams 😭

I think its even better on my second watch! 9/10 Sobbed again

What a pleasant surprise of a film. The acting and the writing were just phenomenal (Austin Abrams is having an amazing year) along with the visuals, especially in the first half of the movie. Ironically, the whale set itself felt like the weakest part. Beautiful ending

A horror movie with a touch of survival

Beautiful depiction of grief and complicated relationships. Kind if drags towards the end but overall good movie
