11/10!!! i am a huge theater nerd and this was one of the best remakes i’ve seen. the choreo, the cinematography, the costumes… everything was so well done!!

very biased because i absolutely love the original movie and because of that i didn’t like this one as much as i should’ve. i think it was a beautiful movie and i would’ve loved it had i not seen the original but the changing of songs and certain choices made really threw me off.

This movie was so good. I love musicals so I really loved all the singing and dancing scenes. I thought it was so sad but the movie was very well made.

Just watch or read Romeo & Juliet. It’s better

I loved the story and the songs and it’s one of my favorite musicals, but i still can’t get over how 3 or more people died and it was the 3 main characters too. The ending made me so mad because they all literally died.

Behind the spectacular mind of Steven Spielberg. West side story was adapted from one masterpiece into another masterpiece. I cried in the theatre watching this without watching the original. And now having seen the original, I love the remake even more

There's no comparison to the 1961 movie.It's a 2021 movie according to a 1957 musical.I wanted more passion and emotion from the protagonists. Even though it has some interesting approaches like in the song America, it takes place in the street.The original story is so powerful.

i wanted to like it but in my opinion it was so boring

I was slightly bored and had to turn it off even though I love the playbook

Mike Faist should have gotten an Oscar nomination!!!

I just think the romeo and juliet thing doesn’t work in this setting. and especially not with this plot. why is she getting with the guy that murdered her brother when her brother was such a good person?? I hated them both and didn’t care when the love interest died sorry.

I didn’t like it. Fell in love wayyyy quickly and barely cared when he did that really bad thing which I won’t spoil
