What a great way to show people what Czech and Slovak history was like...

Po dlouhé době, jsem velmi překvapená českým filmem. Málokterý film ve mě vyvolá emoce, obzvlášť český, ale filmu Vlny se to přesto podařilo. Snímek byl kvalitně a vizuálně skvěle natočený. K žádnému z hereckých výkonů nemám připomínku. A obdivuji práci Jiřího Mádla. Doporučuji!

i love how this was filmed like some details when the camera is shaking when the police is coming and how it shows the history like this is in my top 3 czech movies definitely, PEAK OF CZECH CINEMATOGRAPHY

Very powerful movie. It’s that kind of movie to shift your perspective. We need to remember what our country fought for. The movie was incredible. Amazing cinematography, one of the best I’ve seen. Czech cinematography at it’s peak and with great cast.

I loved this film and I think it deserves all the Lions (Czech awards) it got. I love Prague history.
