It’s not perfect but succeeds in delivering old-school ‘80s horror fun. It has charm in its premise, its creature-versus-dog storyline and occasional suspense. The dog’s loyalty creates a heartfelt throughline reminiscent of Good Boy, while the monster adds edge like Bad Moon.
