last 🎬 I watched a brother leaves his sister and feels terrible, this bro doesn’t.

It had a good premise but the children were more annoying than useful and a series of bad choices really ruined the movie

Revisiting Spielberg’s intense, hyper-realistic alien invasion. I honestly forgot how terrifying this gets; the pure panic completely blew me away.

What Worked:
• Keeping the camera tight on one family’s view honestly makes the chaos feel super personal.
• The giant Tripods moving like creepy ballet dancers look incredible and totally pop.
• Fanning brings a raw energy that completely sells the terror for me.

The Friction:
• The Harlan Ogilvy basement part really dragged for me when things ground to a halt.
• Cruise starts off too unlikable, making it hard to root for him early on.

Verdict:
Watch for a dark sci-fi ride. Skip if frantic screaming annoys you.
