this is such an important film!! dirk bogarde being a closeted man, playing the role of a closeted man in a time that anything relating to “queer” or “homosexual” was illegal. the confession scene. this film being the first film in which “homosexual” was used in.

6.5/10 A tiny bit of a snooze fest but I still enjoyed it. It was very sad but had a relatively uplifting message (to fight for what you believe in). I wish I could have seen the relationship between Farr and Barrett, which was my whole reason for watching in the first place.
