Vicious Reviews

Suspense was good. Interesting premise for sure. I kinda would have liked some back story but the mystery itself is kind of cool. I would check out a prequel or a sequel.

Dakota Fanning continuous to be in bad films but that doesn’t stop her from some great performances. Enough was going on here to be interesting but much clarity was needed. Also the jump-scares could have been stronger.

4.5

No back story. Meh

I don’t know what it is with Dakota Fanning and these mediocre horror movies. This was a boring movie with an uninteresting premise and an on the nose message/theme. Had a few good jumpscares though.

I expected more, considering she’s the main character

7.4/10

Decent concept but definitely could’ve been better.

Left much room for improvement but if you’re not critical of horror movies, it’s a nice watch.

Long drawn out and boring

Rated: 5.6/10

Bertino + Dakota Fanning in a cursed-object story = my kind of nightmare. Left me unsettled but frustrated. Great mood, great performance by Fanning, but the rules never made sense to me.

What Worked:
• Fanning as Polly – I bought every panicked choice. She carried it.
• Kathryn Hunter – Quiet, eerie delivery. Scarier than any jump scare.
• The house – Bertino made a suburban home feel wrong. That box kept reappearing and got under my skin.

What Didn’t:
• Box rules – “Hate, need, love” kept shifting in the middle part and lost me.
• Third act – Felt rushed once Polly tries to pass it on.
• Supporting cast – Wanted more from Lainie and Tara before it went dark.

Verdict:
I like it. This film is for slow-burn dread and Fanning fans. Skip if you need clear answers.

Almost a meh but there were some cool plot points at the end.

i’m sorry i was not interested at all it kept losing my attention but idk if that’s a me problem or the movie problem so i am not eating

Bruh, that sh*t was Vicious.

81/100 Boss was too powerful with the phone hacks and ‘undo’ moves - all that power just for some little piggies

This wasn’t too bad. I can’t say it hooked me but it was entertaining enough. The gore was the peak of the film and it delivered the thrill it needed to. Not too fond on the story. I felt like she had the answers handed to her, which slightly bored me. I didn’t really get it.

unique storyline which i like but it wasnt a great movie. the plot twist and jumpscares were good but the rest wasnt that good. i wouldnt recommend it

I liked it.

great plot but unfortunately it was a huge let down, we didnt know anything about the main character. Ending was very rushed

8/10

This movie js sucks… it’s every other curse movie … and ofc an Ending that isn’t an ending. 1/10

Really terrifying premise and film, though I am a little confused by the ending. 7/10
