This movie was on my periphery until Dax Shepherd said it was favorite movie of all time on an episode of his podcast. Really glad I checked it out. Classic 80s rom-coming-of-age without the John Hughes polish (nothing against John Hughes).

Realistic ‘80s depiction in contrast to the John Hughes formula films. The scene at the party where Randy coaxes Julie to “get outta here” melts my steely heart every time:

J: Where we gonna go?
R: I don’t care
J: What’re we gonna do?
R: Anything

Classic, great period piece movie.

Nic can do better. Fun movie tho.

80s movies are probably some of my favourites! And this one was a fun watch! It was cute and funny I’d give it 3/5 Stars!

Classic Young Nic Cage

Not Nick cage’s finest moment I think. The ending was really funny though

Pretty good there wasn’t really much of a plot though but I liked the end

This was the soundtrack to my teenage years. The nostalgia for this movie runs high!

The romance was so toxic. Like he gave everything for her and all she cared about was what other people thought about her. Maybe that’s part of the comedy but it wasn’t as entertaining as I hoped ☹️

Not enough Nick Cage. Though, this film is a good contrast to a lot of other teen films of its time.
