The Naked Gun

A disappointing film that definitely didn't meet my expectations.


Before watching this film I saw a lot of reviews where people said how funny this film is and how they laughed out loud nearly every minute. I didn't find that to be the case at all. Maybe it's just not for me.

So funny and absurd. There are so few smartly written comedies these days, but hopefully this is a sign of what’s to come! I hope Liam Neeson does more comedies. It will probably make @mckur uncomfortable though. :)

Some of the bits are amazing, some real corny, and some bad. But again, some are amazing. It tries too hard to be hip, really, really don’t like that.

Far less consistently funny than the originals, but at least you can tell they respected the source material

I wanted to like it, but the nonstop slapstick wore me out. A few jokes landed, but the humor felt too forced and cartoonish for my taste. I was hoping for sharper writing instead of constant physical comedy.

It was ok. Funny but too silly.
