8/10 I’ve been waiting for this for over a decade and I am just so happy to get an adaptation of this series that I loved so much as a kid. I really hope they make the other 3 books into movies as well even thought I know that’s a long shot.

i was laughing the whole time i couldn’t take this shit seriously 💀 AND THEY EXPECT US TO TUNE IN TO THE SECOND MOVIE?!! its a one and done for me ill just read the books 😭

I liked this more than I thought and I’m actually excited to see if there is a next movie and what will happen

I feel like this movie would have been much more successful if it was made in the 2010s, when dystopian movies were the hits of the time. Overall it's not bad, but I wouldn't expect a sequel.

I actually really enjoyed it (even tho it should have come out 10 years ago)

The 'laziness' is unreal. I don't know if they gave up before they tried or if they let babies babble up what society is. The casting and styles felt stressful, not to mention the younger versions being completely other people. The exposition is crazy, I gathered absolutely nothing and everything, and most of it didn't matter. It's been like 10 minutes and the uglies are already coming out. I know beauty standards are a risky subject, but maybe a little more realism would have made it a little more relatable. Netflix parodies make me giggle.
