Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
Definitely recommend watching the first two seasons of the show before watching this. You finally get to see the perspective of Laura Palmer and how interesting her character is. 🔥

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
Definitely way more weird than the 1st & 2nd season but it is worth it. Amazing film for the story of Laura Palmer and her character.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
an extraordinary and essential companion to david lynch’s opus series, one that brings a truly horrific narrative to light with some of his most surreal techniques and effects. fantastic performances, with a showcase for legend sheryl lee. nonsensically euphoric

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
A David Lynch classic! I definitely need to watch it again to better understand it, but on first watch, a very intense watch with many close up shots and surreal sequences. Definitely recommend.

BACK AT IT AGAIN I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. I am in love with everything going on here. Watch every Twin Peaks. You either hate it and don’t get it or love it and don’t get it.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
“Fire Walk With Me” is Lynch riffing on Kubrick - especially The Shining and to some degree, 2001. Laura Palmer is Jack Torrence and the Red Room is the Overlook or the Neoclassical room. 3.5/5 ⭐️

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
Undoubtedly one the greatest movies ever made. The only bad thing you need to watch a show to fully get it outside that it’s perfect. Perfect pacing characters foreshadowing. And it makes you feel so bad for Laura. Would I say this makes the show worth it mostly. 10/10

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
“Two days, midnight. By the sound of sawing wood.”
At first I was confused, I didn’t know what any of the stuff I was supposed to get because I was looking through the wrong lens, or maybe I’m too young, either way I ended the movie with a complete lack of understanding, however, after realising what all the big points were going for and what they meant, my brain did a complete 180.
While I still need to watch 2 more things from Twin Peaks, I believe I can confidently give my rating.
1st Act 9.3/10 (Slow, but the second a certain scene plays it doesn’t stop.)
2nd Act 9.6/10 (Amazing for what it is, the character development really shins.)
3rd Act 12/10 (The symbolism, the clash, the reveal all of it could bring a tear to a soldiers eye.)
Plot 11/10 (Would not change a single fucking thing.)
Soundtrack/Score 13/10 (It’s in my top 4 albums of all time.)
Acting 9.7/10 (Cheryl Lee is wooden at times but still phenomenal performances all round.)
Pacing 9.3/10 (Solid all round but it has some moments.)
Cinematography 11/10 (Fuck you David Lynch may you rest in peace you awesome bastard.)
Character Development 12/10 (The fucking horror, oh the fucking horror.)
Writing 13/10 (The greatest use of some writing techniques I’ve ever encountered.)
Ending 13/10 (This will forever be one of my favourite endings, god I wish I could understand it.)
Direction 11/10 (The man’s a legend for a fucking reason.)
Overall
133.9/120
Fire Walk With Me is a film that I will treasure forever, on a rewatch it will definitely go higher, this is a partial inflation based on what I think a lot of the stuff is, may go up or down but will never not be above a 10/10. Fire Walk With Me earns itself an 11/10 For now.
REWATCH STUFF:
Going into this with the return in mind makes
FWWM my 2nd favourite film of all time, there’s so much rewatch value on top of that, without a doubt makes it the most rewatchable film ever made.
A true magnum opus of the art form, and without a doubt one of the greatest films of all time.
11/10 - A perfect film.
