I just remembered I watched this movie and good lord was it a shit show. Mega camp but not in a good or endearing way. Only good thing to come from it was the “oh my god” meme

The power of garbage storytelling
An unneeded insight of “Troll 2”
Roughly a month ago, a close friend of mine enclosed the name of a film that he believed was considerably a garbage film. After he had me waste my time by viewing the film “Birdemic”, I for some reason I will probably never know actually ended up purchasing the 4k copy of “Troll 2”. Now I finally attempt to stay conscious enough to last the duration of this film.
A majority of the time, films tend to have these peculiar methods of dragging the viewer's consciousness through the mud. Now that is not particularly the case with all films, though as I am viewing this at 9:41pm, I have no idea what the heck is occurring in this film.
Even upon the moment I found myself reaching the 23 minute mark of the film. Things just began to reach another tier of absurd and somewhat terrifying in a freakish manner. I cannot make sense of what the story is trying to express to it’s audience.
Now it is remarkable in any way, when a film is able to make a moment considerably humorous. Just one minute or even a single line of dialogue could give a film the power to become beloved by the audience whether it is in the right way or the wrong way. As an individual who was raised during the age of classical memes, knowing that one of the primary reasons this film is still considered memorable in some degree.
Though what I find most fascinating about the film’s popularity is that it does not originate from any form of quality cause let’s be honest here, this film is in the same category as garbage. In many ways that its fans would consider it a “cult classic” the film's awkward performances, confusing story design, and basically every line of dialgue that was brought about by its french team somehow in some miraculous way contributes to an experience that a great majority of its audience cannot unfortunately forget.
Most of these failed waste of film negatives disappear into the act of obscurity because of how second rate it is. “Troll 2” through some overwhelming incompetence, brought out a discussion that many unfortunately cannot resist but to take part in.
Having finally survived the experience myself, I can confidently proclaim that I understand why the film has become such a legendary piece of cinema history. That does not mean I enjoyed it. In fact, I found much of the experience confusing, somewhat frustrating, and occasionally exhausting. Yet, I will admit that despite all the criticism, I somehow cannot stop thinking about it. This film brought about a success not because it is good in any degree, but because against any amount of my consent, I find it impossible to forget about it.
Now as for whether or not I would recommend it, my answer still continues to remain complicated. If you are searching for a genuinely great horror film, you in no way will find it here. If however, you wish to witness one of the most bewildering cinematic experiences ever assembled, then perhaps there is value in taking the journey yourself. Just do not come to me or be surprised if, by the end, you find yourself repeating one of the film’s most famous lines.
“They’re eating her! And then they’re going to eat me!
Oh my Gooooood!”
After finally making it through the film in its entirety, I can safely say that nobody ate me. Though I cannot make the same claim for the few remaining brain cells I possessed beforehand

This movie is so bad it’s good. Watch it as a comedy and not a real horror movie.

This was such a funny movie, which considering it’s a horror movie, makes it even funnier. I laughed so hard during this entire movie, the effects were so bad they were good, it was all just so funny. The acting was awful but so damn funny. You can’t not laugh your ass off at “they’re eating her! And now they’re maybe gonna eat me!” . You also gotta love the “Stonehenge magic stone”. If I was taking this seriously I would say it’s a 4/10, but the experience and humor made it an 9/10
