I liked the film. It was very much like Evil Dead Rise to me.

I guess this would considered an anthology? Or at most a five act story? It seems to build to a bigger story, but frustratingly turns to other character arcs mid stream. Seems disjointed most of the time. It’s a shame, cuz there’s some real good camera work and FX.

Oh man. This felt like two completely different films. The first half is a student film version of evil dead. It is bloody and filled with triggers to make you squeamish. Tons of shakey cam to the point I thought it could have been a found footage film. Then the second half switches to a campy version of Halloween. This is a lot more fun and I found myself laughing a bit more—but it’s completely different in tone. Both half’s are plagued with some awful acting, transition issues, and some clunky writing. Maybe put this on as a background movie on Halloween, but otherwise avoid.
