Toy Story of Terror! Reviews

My favourite Toy Story movie

A fun story, family friendly. A great mystery set in the Toy Story world. You will enjoy seeing your favorite characters having to solve a puzzling course of events. My kids love this during Halloween, and when we went out they always kept track of their toys. 🎃

Love it

Every single horror movie trope like “why do we split up” and “one vanishes, then another” appear and of course, there is a…. Monster!! Who turns out to be a lizard?
Cute movie
And great for Halloween!

Loved Pricklepants. Wish this was more Halloween centered.

Love it 🥰

I freaking love this, I remember when I was younger being able to stay up late whenever it was close to Halloween just to watch this, brings back so many memories!! 😊

❤️❤️❤️

A good quick adventure with the cast of Toy Story 2

-Anxiety is the base with Jessie
-Ebid a take on eBay
-The guy being a sort of collector/reseller but using a pet to find stuff for him.
-The new toys are a great touch for the short and really likeable

It was cute

I love harmless spooky animated short films

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

scarier than the shining at times 8/10

Rated: 8.2/10 ⭐️

I expected a standard holiday spin-off, but the creepy atmosphere and emotional depth completely wrecked me.

What Worked:
MacLane’s heavy shadows and low-angle framing give the motel an eerie, claustrophobic weight. Through my Methodist faith lens, seeing Jessie push past her trauma to rescue her friends reminds me that true courage is serving others, even in the dark. Giacchino’s score also perfectly anchors the suspense with spooky motifs.

The Cuts:
The middle part really dragged for me; Mr. Pricklepants explaining horror tropes gets repetitive and stalls the tension. Keeping it spoiler-free, the antagonist’s motivation feels half-baked after such a massive buildup. Plus, cramming in so many characters meant Woody and Buzz got sidelined.

Verdict:
A spooky, heartfelt adventure that lets Jessie shine. Perfect for a cozy Halloween binge, but skip if you want genuine, terrifying scares.

Favorite Line: “Combat Carl never gives up. Combat Carl finds a way.”

Good mini movie

GOATED.
