Brosnan is as characteristic as ever. This is a pretty solid Bond film in terms of excitement and being action packed however the plot and writing is pretty weak and lacklustre. Having said that, the action sequences are a lot of fun.

Elliot Carver would've loved Trump’s media coverage.

Carver's scheme seems like it's happened in real life multiple times already, I think that lends a lot of credence to the movie. Though I will say that the gadgetry of the film is pulling it back from entering the modern era, like when your shirt gets caught on something.

This was fun, had some great action set pieces and Michelle Yeoh. The plot and villain were super weak though 6.5/10

Continuing my Brosnan binge for 007: First Light release celebration. Thought a media villain would feel dated, but the fake news plot totally hits different today.

What Worked:
• Yeoh is incredible. She holds her own, and that motorcycle chase is a massive highlight.
• Since I tune my own car, seeing Bond drift a BMW from the backseat is my ultimate dream mod.
• Pryce brings fun energy to Carver. His wild WWIII plan for TV rights is totally entertaining.

The Friction:
• The pacing really dragged for me before Bond and Wai Lin finally team up.
• The stealth boat finale was too chaotic. I honestly wanted a tighter showdown over endless explosions.

Verdict:
Watch for a fun 90s ride. Skip if you honestly hate over-the-top plots.

An obvious improvement from GoldenEye, still not as iconic nonetheless. OST is great as always, Sheryl Crow is amazing.
