Great performance from Alicia Vikander. The games were of course a lot more better than the movie, but that’s almost always the case in these movie remakes. Was fun to watch, would gladly watch it again.

c'était un simple film d'action comme on en voit tout les mois. Bien qu'à la différence près que celui ci a un femme pour pp ce qui est tres cool. Loin d'une figure trop girly ou au contraire trop masc, il y a un équilibre entre les deux qui m'a plut.

It's a shame that the rest of the movie isn't nearly up to the spunk that Vikander delivers. It's got some energetic fun, and some sharp action sequences, but too much of the story feels way too familiar. It isn't as interesting as it could be, with a number of plot holes.

I’d give this film a 6/10. It wasn’t as good as the games in terms of the action, characters and story arc. Otherwise it was an enjoyable watch and Alicia Vikander gave a great performance.

Tomb Raider may not have broken the video game movie curse of absolute failure, however, this reboot gets it’s Lara Croft right with Alicia Vikander who brings a great physicality to the role and definitely shows off her immense talent.

I’m replaying the Tomb Raider trilogy (new ones), so felt only right to watch this film, a weird hybrid of the first two.

I actually quite like this, it’s littered with issues and iffy dialogue, but I think my fondness for the game, and the character of Lara Croft, keeps me keen despite the shortcomings.

Alicia Vikander does a fine job of Croft, I always liked the attempt, and believe the general consensus was positive too, it’s a shame she didn’t get to do another one. Dominic West was good too, even if his role strayed a bit from the games. Can never, ever go wrong with Walton Goggins.

On a side note, the 4k for this, despite the quality of the film, looks and sounds the nuts. I’m looking forward to Phoebe Waller Bridge’s new show with Sophie Turner!
