This was decent. It struggles in focus at first but develops nicely and becomes quite meaningful. This is a wonderful showcase of Nicholas Hoult’s talent.

This movie is a really meaningful story that shows the personal life to J.R.R. Tolkien and how his interest in language made his known story’s, such as lord of the rings. It is sett during World War One, which makes a debt in the movie, that I appreciated. Recommend this!

It was alright, not really for me, was interesting to get to know some of Tolkien’s back story

Didn’t even know that this is about hobbit, bad storyline

Cool movie but it had predictable plot and I was bit cringing thorugh the movie. Still it was watchable and I was glad to know more about Tolkien.

Fantastic film, really heartfelt story.

John Ronald Reul Tolkien’s life from adolescence through WWl which shaped his imagination for the stories of Middle Earth as we know it today. Great performances and well thought out story that shows the development of one of the most renowned fantasy writers ever.

I think it was a very nice film, I don't like the Lord of the Rings but seeing how the author came to this writing and looking at his life was very interesting

Carino, inizialmente noioso con una parte finale molto bella.

Perfection. His life told as a fairy-tale, as though he had written it himself. Encapsulates dynamics in a group of boys, true depiction of love, fantasy iconography galore. Would wring tears off a shrivelled husk of a man. Impeccable wardrobe.

Such a great story and totally coherent for those who don’t know about lord of the rings
