I love this version of the Turtles idc what anyone says 😂 definitely better than the original film trilogy and the Michael Bay films too.

I can understand why this has around 30% rotten tomatoes. The story has plot holes fs. I mean, why are all 13 monsters conveniently in New York?

I think another reason why it’s critiqued so heavily is because the whole movie is CGI, however, it’s 2007. If you’re going to use CGI, use it for everything or don’t use it at all. I’d argue that this CGI looks really good for 2007, and honestly makes it a sign of the times.

The aura farming in this movie was insane. The dynamic between Leo and Raph was perfect. It added so much tension and really cool drama.

The character designs were insane in this as well. Not only were the main enemies sick, but this is the coolest adaptation of the foot clan I’ve seen yet. All the turtles looked amazing. Casey and April looked tough ash too.

I like that this wasn’t another origin story of the turtles as well. Instead, we get to see them post Splinter. That made me a bit skeptical with who the main villain was going to be, but I ended up loving the concept.

This is a great kids film, and I really hope my kids get that stim where they watch the same movie everyday for months and months, and that the movie of choice ends up being this one.
