Till

An excellent depiction of the true, disgusting events surrounding Emmitt Tills death. The continued discomfort the movie builds, from the knowing to the events to the trial and beyond keeps its edge due to directing, acting, and production. Deadwyler is achingly captivating.

😢

From what I can gather this was a pretty accurate retelling of events, and all the performances were strong.
That being said, the story felt very surface-level and there were some issues with pacing, which made it feel like I was skimming through a textbook.

We will always remember you Emmett.

moved me to tears. absolutely brutal and horrific. very eye opening
