Not much of an ordinary war film instead it’s like Full Metal jacket only was about the training camp. I don’t mean that’s bad because it was a very good film and I really liked the dynamic between Colin Farrell’s character and the other characters.

Cool Hand Luke joins the army.

Wow, this movie had more grain than a farm silo! I don’t know if that was the intention director Joel Schumacher had when making this, but it was pretty bad and it kinda took away from the film. This film had the vibe of Full Metal Jacket, it just wasn’t as good.

A good film showing the intensity of boot camp. Loved how the camerawork, all being handheld, was used to add roughness and more intensity. Overall, it’s an effective anti-war film.
