I expected a massive patriotic spy spectacle, but while the action and star power are insane, the story felt a bit too convoluted this time.
What Worked:
The director leans hard into the YRF Spy Universe. SRK’s Pathaan cameo adds a larger-than-life scale that totally justifies the $33.5M budget. Emraan Hashmi is fantastic; he brings a cold, intellectual menace that feels like a legit threat to Salman's raw energy. The global location scouting is top-tier, and dynamic camera work gives the car chases a super grounded, kinetic weight.
The Cuts:
With constant flashbacks and double-crosses, the middle part really dragged for me. Through my faith and flag lens, having the ultimate Indian patriot risk his neck to protect a rival nation's Prime Minister felt weird and muddled the strong national pride of the first two films. Plus, some CGI explosions looked rubbery and unfinished, pulling me right out of the illusion.
Verdict:
A globe-trotting popcorn flick that delivers explosive action, even if bogged down by twists.
Favorite Line: “I will always be there to serve my country.”
