a bit slow and funny at times when it shouldn't be which shows its age. pretty decent considering I wasn't bored while watching it :3

Closer to a dislike than a like, but I don’t think it was bad. Just couldn’t keep up with it. Appreciate the vision and plot, but I was distracted while watching and couldn’t keep up

Ending was sick

1st order of business, an amazing performance by Toshirô Mifune & Isuzu Yamada who were simply flawless, yet another of Akira Kurosawa, and I can't stress this enough, this man found the true formula for perfection, making me remember amazing past works of legends such as him!

Throne of Blood > the OG Macbeth.

Mifune has never been anything but incredible

what a compelling and ingeniously done macbeth adaptation. considering when this was made, it could be labeled as almost perfect. the costumes, the acting, the cinematography, all absolutely amazing

Isuzu Yamada did the Herculean task of out performing Toshiro Mifune, she takes up permanent residency in my closet as my nightmare demon

this is the real macbeth, very compelling lead actor, love the final third, especially final scene.

Not my favorite Kurosawa, but it’s still very good.

One of the greatest Shakespeare adaptations of all time. Kurosawa was one of the greats and shows his genius through every shot and line of dialogue. The performances are fantastic and that last ten minutes was incredible.

The movie was just Macbeth with Samurai. It’s pretty good tho. The acting was interesting and their take on the final prophecy was fairly interesting and sticks to the true nature of the parent story. The story felt very rushed, things could’ve been added to aid the pacing.
