Actually a terrible movie. Superb performance by DeNiro but other than that it was shit. They left the little girl with the abusive father. Whole movie lacked depth and substance. Terrible movie. Terrible. Dog shit.

Great movie but the book is so much better. One of my fav books

Leo DiCaprio shows his acting chops off at a young age in this coming of age film. Tackling topics of mental illness and abuse this film may be tough to watch at time but it is no doubt beautiful. 8/10
