This is why they need to stop playing and pay these writers. We deserve more movies and shows that are just brilliantly done. This was very thought provoking and hilarious. The cast did an excellent job 👏🏽 .

Spent the whole movie trying to figure out who Tyrone was. People should also know that this movie is 100% non-fiction and depicts the true story of how Ronald Reagan flooded the hood with crack back in the 80s. Great historical documentary.

I really wasn't expecting to be as engaged and entertained as I was. Boyega, Foxx, and Parris bounce off each other as if charisma were the competition. Satire on satire, comedy on comedy. I love the genre and era-bending too, from 70s-style crime thriller to 80s-style sci-fi mystery to present-day horror drama. It's got it all. The production is impressive too, from large, colourful set pieces to perfectly curated costuming and design. On top of all that, there's a refreshing story with heavy messaging too. Blaxploitation, systemic corruption, propaganda, community, capitalism—I could go on, but there's too much to type.

Damn this was good. The comedy was golden, the acting was top notch, the chemistry between the 3 main characters was great. I mean the storyline near the end was a bit confusing but it all makes sense after looking it up but yh, a great, mind-bending watch. 8.5/10

Fantastic humor, had me laughing all the way through. If you’re Black then you’ll appreciate the script and how true it is to the culture. A real good conspiracy dramedy. Themes reflective of real life. Definitely recommend.

I’m not in the position to discuss American American issues, but something felt off about this movie. It seemed condescending to African Americans while also depicting White people as just a societal villain. Great chemistry between the actors. Their back and for convos were good

I should’ve watched a trailer. The genre isn’t one I particular like. The conspiracy portion made me watch longer than I would have originally. But truly it still was just parroting common talking points within the community with this conspiracy too. I didn’t really care for it.

Most underrated movie of 2023. So many metaphors and nuances to pick up on throughout. I also loved how they combined 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, all the way to the present day. Incredible script, aesthetic, and actors. Yo-Yo was my fav.

It’s so good, really weird but I love it so much!!!

Lost some steam at the halfway point when there wasn’t as much mystery. First half love and wicked funny + second half meh = solid like

A fun, trippy and moody at times flick. Performances were fun and the core satire elements is what I find the most interesting. If you have a basic knowledge on race issues in America you may not find any crazy nuance or surprises in its messaging but can still appreciate it.

Funny stuff… but lowkey true tho. I’m not gone say too much but I know about the cloning chambers 🤫 9/10
