The Wonder
A bit slow but the mystery premise itself is engaging and presented in an ethereal way. I wonder if it should have had more clues or things to say about the brother’s abuse throughout since it is the crux of the mystery, perhaps even examine the family dynamics more…

The combination of flo and religious trauma goes crazy. The story was slow but it really worked with the concept. A solid movie.

florence pugh is just amazing in everything. this movie can be a little monotonous, but i still found it enjoyable to watch and engaging. i was kinda hoping it would take a supernatural route, but i liked the ending how it is. i was really expecting anna to die, happy she didn’t.

Ah, you had me fooled there. About 65% of the way in I was thinking this was going to end poorly for me, but Flo pulled it off. I like the ending. Ya got me.

Performances are monumental in this period piece. Enough mystery and thought provoking views from characters to keep the story afloat. By far one of the best commentaries I’ve seen on religion and the belief in it. And how it starts and ends is a wonder in it of itself.

I enjoyed it quite a lot, especially the ending with “in out”. I’m guessing you can interpret it in different ways but how I see it it means that “Nan” died trapped but at the same time she is out.

The Wonder
a very interesting concept. i loved the use of the music and despite the story being slow it worked. the acting was brilliant, as was the set and costumes. the only complaint i have is that i didn’t understand the purpose of the narrator and still don’t after googling it.

The Wonder
There’s a very ominous tone throughout the movie, and the movie doesn’t go the route one would typically expect it to. Also, that one transition went crazyy

I really enjoyed the creativity of the movie. It’s about a girl who says she hasn’t eaten in four months, becomes a miracle, and her only reasoning is her faith. This really shows the strife and conflict with narrating your life with the gospel. I loved the way the story unfolds.

I was not expecting a happy ending for this. Actually I couldn’t tell if it was a supernatural type movie or not until half way through, but the mystery unravels fantastically. One big thing I noticed was how foreboding the music was until the end where it became more whimsical.

Verwirrender Film. Er war schon interessant, aber auch traurig. Ich check auch nicht, warum das Kind von der einen auf die andere Sekunde wie ein neuer Mensch war.

interesting. always love watching florence pugh. relatively predictable, aside from the ending. the movie set component was intriguing but, ultimately, confusing. not one of pugh’s best, but still good.

I wouldn't call this a mystery-mystery ... when it was revealed I was like: 'yeah... makes sense' ... but it didn't blow my mind. but around that it's a beautiful and captivating film
