why the fuck is this movie 3 hrs long

watching this movie made me feel like i was on the same drugs as the main character. 8/10

can be summed up as “drugs, sex, hookers, stock market, drugs, did i mention more drugs? oh cocaine out of a girls asshole, money, you don’t actually love ur wife, addicted to drugs, rape, drugs will ruin ur life”

but slay Margot Robbie she’s hot as balls & wifey af

If you’re a finance bro, this is the movie for you. My rebellious side, albeit very small, desires to live a life like Jordan Belfort. His charisma, balls, and business skills are admirable. However, the qualudes proved to be too much. Margot Robbie is every man’s dream. 9.4/10.

DiCaprio really embodied his character well. BUT! I think this is one of the most overrated movies I have ever seen. The whole story was very repetitive and ultimately boring…over the top cursing, sex, drug abuse, cheating people out of their money, public masturbation

A lesson in why drugs, sex, and money don’t make anyone happy or make life meaningful. But also the movie never needed to be made, the amount of nudity is disgustinggggg and the language is probably the worst I’ve ever heard in a movie

Honestly phenomenal movie. Great acting and writing, it was funny, unpredictable, and just overall interesting. Only reason I’m not giving it a ❤️ is because I probably only watched 2/3 of the movie because the other 1/3 was spent avoiding eye contact with the hundreds of nipples.

I honestly felt like I needed a long shower after watching this. It is an exhausting, three-hour rush through a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah in expensive suits.

The Director’s Eye:
Scorsese is a master. The editing is breakneck, and DiCaprio’s 4th wall breaks make you feel like an accomplice. He plays a "false prophet of greed" perfectly—a powerful cautionary tale about gaining the whole world but losing your soul. The energy is infectious, even if the actions are repulsive. Jonah Hill is fantastic.

The Cuts:
The content is overwhelming. The sheer amount of nudity, drugs, and 500+ F-bombs crosses from realistic to gratuitous. It’s too long—cutting 30 minutes of partying would have sufficed—and at times, it risks celebrating the lifestyle too much.

Verdict:
A cinematic masterpiece, but a moral sewer. Brilliantly made but horrifying. Strictly for mature adults; definitely not for family movie night.

Favorite Line: "Sell me this pen."

Rewatched this after a few years and its still brilliant.
