This was honestly just a pure work of art, the amount of mediums used, unused, restructured broken and then built again was insane. I can’t say that I loved because It just makes you feel a certain way. But the amount of work done by mostly 2 people was astonishing and I applaud

I hate to be the asshole who didn't like this. The animation is interesting and strangely creepy that's definitely there. Nothing was wrong with the story it's a familiar one done in horror style, but something just kept putting me to sleep. I had to lock in to stay awake.

The artistry in this is insane. When you actually look into the real history behind it, it becomes so much darker..I liked the way they chose to express that through a constantly morphing handmade world.
The most genius part is framing it as propaganda from the perspective of the colony’s leaders showing the ‘dangers’ of leaving for the outside world.

A One of a kind, stop motion masterpiece. The Wolf House is the one the most weird pieces of film I think I’ve ever had the pleasure of sitting through, it’s creepy, it’s uncanny, it makes me uncomfortable, what more could you want from stop motion horror.
1st Act 9.7/10 (Really creepy, creative and unsettling, loved the whole Nazi thing too, especially that little window detail.)
2nd Act 8.5/10 (Kinda feels like it’s dragging, but has its fair share of really good moments.)
3rd Act 9.3/10 (Picks up again and is executed brilliantly.)
Plot 9.3/10 (There’s nothing like it, but that’s not me saying it’s not convoluted.)
Soundtrack/Score 8.8/10 (Nothing catches your ears, but the songs do enhance the movie so well.)
Acting 8.7/10 (Not much to go off, but the wolf is very well voice acted.)
Pacing 8.6/10 (Decent, drops off a bit during 2nd act, picks back up and delivers.)
Cinematography 9.3/10 (The lighting is actually so insane.)
Character Development 8.5/10 (Definitely not that kinda movie, but I felt bad for this paper machete aryan.)
Writing 9.5/10 (The symbolism is so fucking good, genuinely in awe.)
Ending 9.6/10 (Loved every part of it, made every scene that made me feel uncomfortable worth it.)
Direction 8.9/10 (Such a shame these guys are one hit wonders as of now.)

Can’t imagine the budget for paint and tape. Truly bizarre seeing each frames intricate addition to progress and make this not look like a stop motion

I loved this when I first saw it. It’s one of the most beautiful looking films I’ve seen. But upon reflection, the story isn’t the greatest thing ever and its greatness relies on the animation. Still amazing and highly recommend.

Incredible presentation of stop motion while having a story, although not sure what about, that touches the soul.
