love a full circle moment. good life lessons. Weird swing steve inna serious role. would’ve been great but a couple elements could’ve been more fleshed out like him and neighbor girl

felt like spending a summer with people I almost forgotten about, but never really did.

A hidden gem. Perfect film if you like The Perks of Being a Wallflower or Little Miss Sunshine. The characters were unique and entertaining and the acting was well done. 9.6/10

i love the films about the socially awkward loser kid because they’re just like me.
and him finding his people in this one and the ending… made me cry

I really enjoyed it! Feel good laughed a couple times depressing parent divorce sitch. Fun stuff

The Way Way Back is an absolute gem of a coming-of-age story. It captures that specific, awkward teenage feeling of being stuck on a family vacation where you feel like the odd man out, then finding your "people" in the most unexpected place. 8.4/10
