The Wave Reviews

it’s really scary seeing how the experience went smoothly, it puts things in perspective & gives food for thoughts on a heavy subject that forged minds through history. it’s a really good movie

ensam look a like

i think this movie is actually really good. it ends up giving the answer of the question they asked at very beginning of the film. also the way that characters develop throughout the story is very well shown

The idea is perfect. And also like the way its German product

Der Film hat so gut demonstriert, wie schnell und wie einfach man eine politische Richtung einschlagen kann und wie man es verpacken muss, damit niemand die Manipulation hinter versteckt

i liked it. i really didn’t expect the ending and it was a pleasant surprise. the psychology of this movie is fascinating and it’s interesting to see such an event take place

LOVED IT

such a good movie that really showed how people live and react in groups and adapt their life to it! impressed me a lot

It was scary to see how drastically the situation developed in one week. I considered this a message of warning that it’s doesn’t take much to return to regimes like this and that dictatorship can be seen anywhere. Overall l great movie exemplifying life under an autocracy

- guter und wichtiger Film
- Motiv von Lehrer war mir irgendwie nicht so ganz klar

The Wave is terrifying because it feels real. Watching ordinary teens slip into groupthink and extremism is chilling. Tim’s descent shows how belonging can turn dangerous. A powerful reminder that manipulation and fascist dynamics can rise anywhere.
