Very meta, had a lot of funny moments but I for sure got bored. I actually briefly fell asleep in the theater at one point. Disclaimer: the theater was weirdly warm which made me sleepy 🤣 @robin liked this way more than I did

genuinely hilarious movie. definitely could’ve done without the whole Nic Cage working for the american government plot line. 
would’ve been better if it was just a couple of guys hanging out being dudes.

A further mythologizing of Cage, and an examination of celebrity worship and shifting goals of contemporary filmmaking. Cage is great brining both his ‘emotional’ and unrestrained acting. Pascal matches him perfectly. Story works best when it’s in hangout mode.

I know I’ve watched this. And I know I found it incredibly strange. And I know it was my introduction to Pedro. But I will rewatch
