The Twister: Caught in the Storm

As someone who lives in Joplin and can kind of remember the tornado (I was 4 at the time) I wish they showed more of the after affects, like the clean up process, the search and rescue, and how we came together. I somehow remember being at cleanup sites with my parents.

It was a good telling from people who lived through it. I don’t say this often but I almost wish it was longer. I would have liked to hear more stories. Also I understand why the captan of the football team’s friend nicknamed him what he did cuz he is good looking!!

I expected an investigative / expository style doc but this was a testimonial style. Still, it was good. It would have been better if they’d labeled what video was from the actual event and where it was captured because it wasn’t always clear.

Very emotional but well laid out story of a terrible tornado. Was very young but remembered hearing from it. So scary to hear the remarkable stories of people’s survival. Devastating to see the damage but definitely respect all of these people and their town

This was the best documentary I’ve watched this year. I was fascinated by the survivors speaking out about their stories from the storm. And I also learned things I never knew about the Joplin Tornado.
