Really beautiful but also evil

Ties as my favorite movie and may be my favorite on a second rewatch. This took 20+ years to make and it shows. I would love to teach a class on this film lmao. It examines all of humankind in a folk-tale-esque way, while also being an entire art history course in one sitting. Genuinely bewildering and absolutely gorgeous. It answers the question of why we’re even here.
