The Tragedy of Macbeth Reviews

The minimalist art direction goes insanely hard which hones in on the haunting horror & anguished psychology of the characters. I might need to watch this again to really appreciate the performances. The sound design is utilized very well too. Might be the most spark notes…

The Tragedy of Macbeth is a perfect adaptation of one of Shakespeare’s greatest works by allowing for simplicity. The world feels real while providing minimalistic sets and allowing your imagination to fill in the blanks.

The cinematography, visuals were stunning but we really didn’t need another Macbeth, especially a Denzil Macbeth…nope.

Ήταν ασπρόμαυρη και δεν την είδα καν

Who do you want in this movie ? Yes

For me the definitive version of Macbeth

Watched it in English class

It’s more of a musical than an actual movie

I for one could go for an entire series of Shakespeare adaptations with this production design and cinematography.

Ich habs nur für die Schule geguckt aber es ist ok

Amazing cinematography

So pictural

This movie’s got a lot of cool stuff, I’m just not good at this.

6.9

gets extra points cuz its an a24 film but other than that it's somewhat decent for shakespeare. probably hard to follow if you haven't read the play though. awesome acting and filming!!

7/10

i watched it in preparation for watching it with friends. thinking about watching it again in case i need to watch it again

Usually if I don’t get a movie it’s m fault by this time it’s the movies fault

It’s a unique and interesting vision and I kind of hope we see more of this body of work adapted like this

Didn’t expect to enjoy it but really did. Cinematography was incredible
