Pros: Good murder mystery. Funny, clever, and has kind of a stacked cast.

Cons: It’s not phenomenal by any means. You won’t leave the film thinking you saw something incredible. But, it is a fun watch and a great time killer.

As far as murder mysteries go, this is all murder... no mystery, and by that I mean it's boring on a criminal level. Aside from maybe the casting, I couldn't find any crowning points, and comparing it to Netflix's best murder mystery film, "Knives Out", it's clear what's missing. Performances seem shallow, and the comedy and dialogue along with it seem dry. The plot weakens so much so I've already forgotten half of it. Also, as much as I love the casting, certain central characters feel very miscast. I'm sure the book is great. This adaptation, though? Not so much.

This book series is one of my absolute favorites. It is charming, intriguing and surprisingly vulnerable. I think that the movie adaptation captured the murder mystery aspect well, but it missed some of the more complex undertones of the novels and missed out on a lot of the depth of character and emotion. This was a fun surface level version, but not my favorite adaptation. Felt a bit like a “made for tv” movie at times. Some casting was spot on while others felt like a bit of a miss. Overall I still enjoyed it for what it was and would be interested to see additional books from the series adapted.

I loved this movie as much as I loved the book. The casting is literally perfect. Everyone go watch it right now you will not be disappointed.

It was a little bit confusing from time to time, but overall it was a great movie. Personally, i was waiting for a bigger mystery but it was good and i do recommend it if youve already watched murder mysteries and are looking for new ones.

A poorly written, highly contrived mess of a movie. It’s about an hour longer than it needs to be and clearly struggles to balance all its characters.. like it sets up Joyce as if she’s going to be important at the start, then immediately sidelines her for Elizabeth. Don’t watch

A cozy Whodunnit where a group of senior sleuths take a stand to consistently name the suspects in the most tedious way.

Some of the reveals were set up to obviously. The style reminded me a lot of Harry Potter, but considering who the director is, I shouldn’t be surprised. Odd that so many people in a retirement home are so good with technology in this film. Honestly expected it to be a series.

haven't read the book, so i'm judging the film as is, & it is so fucking good!! the cast is unbelievably talented, the characters & set are spectacular. funny, mysterious & kinda sweet in a special way. truly enjoyed it.

Very fun! Keeps you guessing. More movies like this pls!
