The Strangers: Prey at Night

Some might not think so, and I don’t blame you… but this is my favorite compared to the first movie. The way the strangers always seem to be one step ahead sends chills through my body.

The beginning was a little slow but once the suspense kicked in it had me hooked.

Pleasantly surprised at how good this was as a follow up to such a beloved horror movie.

It’s easy to lose a lot of the scare factor because we already know what to expect, but I think they did a great job subverting expectations and keeping this one decently scary.

What I think really makes this such a solid sequel is the fantastic casting. The performances are all incredible and so believable.

As with most any slasher, there are a few moments where you have to accept that they could have killed the bad guys or gotten away early on, but if you have that suspension of disbelief, it’s a really solid installment in the franchise and the genre as a whole.
