The Strangers: Chapter 3 Reviews

This film, just like the others, falls flat immediately. They try to keep your attention with depth into the strangers, but really, it keeps you bored. This whole trilogy could’ve been a single film.

overall I gave 6.5/10.

First movie: More horror, better tension (my opinion)
Second movie: Okay mostly a continuation… lots of running, and not much
Third movie: good wrap up, and I really loved the songs, great choices!!!

Solid end to the trilogy.

HOLY AIRBALL THIS WAS NOT GOOD

Hmmm… I don’t really… knowww what this movie (or honestly this trilogy) was trying to say, or like add to the ethos of the franchise, but like… I did not enjoy this nearly as much as the first 2. Felt a bit edge-lordy. A bit cruel and gross and emotionless. Not the best finale.

I enjoyed watching all three movies although they were very frustrating to watch

I love survival horror and hoped this final chapter would finally bring some decent scares. I honestly disliked this messy conclusion; it trades creepy, random terror for a super convoluted backstory.

The Director’s Eye (What Worked):
• Petsch gives it her all; her shift to a hardened survivor brings some needed grit.
• The underground lair set looks super grimy and adds a suffocating vibe.

The Friction (What Didn’t Click for Me):
• The flashback backstory part really dragged for me and ruined the killers’ mystery.
• Forcing Maya to wear the mask honestly felt super goofy and tried way too hard.

The Verdict:
I honestly dislike this. Skip it unless you absolutely need to finish the trilogy.

Awesome Reboot/Sequel based on true events.

Did not expect to like this series as much as I did 👀 This one was the best one out of the three.

wayyyy better than the 2nd one but they definitely lost the plot (that plot being that there was is no plot)

These movies are a disgrace to the original! The first one wasn’t good but this entire trilogy went into the depths of cinema hell! We did not need this backstory on the strangers. All it did was destroy anything that made the original so damn good. Well and truly an abomination.
