Unwatchable

maybe it’s bc i’ve seen the 1975 original and don’t worry darling, but this was too slow and predictable. the ending was particularly way too drawn out. i’m glad walter finally had some sense but joanna let him off the hook wayyy too soon like dude was tryna lobotomize u 5 seconds ago💀

5/10 wouldn’t recommend; instead, watch the original or don’t worry darling, both r much better. nicole still mommy❤️‍🔥

girl wait why did i loveeee this. like this was good as balls. and i like didn’t see the plot twist coming but as soon as it did i immediately understood and was kinda felt bad for the opposite side.

Overall mid-tier social commentary/satire of upper class society. Character writing is its biggest positive. The twist comes out of nowhere, but feels like it lacks any sufficient punch. Kidman’s protagonist redeems it from the dislike though. Line delivery from her is superb. 6⭐️

This movie was so crazy. It was very interesting. This movie was just like the movie Don’t Worry Darling. It looked like they copied this movie though.

I read the book (excellent) so was curious to watch the movie. I think the original film in 1975 was more true to the book; this one was unbearable.

This movie is long overdue for a camp appreciation redemption arc a la Mommie Dearest or Showgirls. Yes, we know it’s bad! But it’s also fabulous.

Mandatory viewing for my future husband (and actually probably everyone in my life)

Can’t wait to watch the original! This is a gem!! So good in every way and you can tell that they remain true to 70s cinema.

What an amazing movie! Usually these movies make me feel grim of the future but this one really gave me a sliver of hope lol

It feels extremely outdated, like a soap opera somehow… I think there was a similar movie a few years ago that I loved, this had a fun stroy as well, but somehow the quality of acting and directing was off for me…

The way this film immediately grew on me after initially hating it. I like the concept a lot more than the execution, similarly to Don’t Worry Darling. Entirely creepy and something you can feel in your gut. The film definitely gets better as it goes!
