He tried to make it look like Stanley Kubrick's movies. Movie is long, it could have been shorter

Weird one. Wouldn’t recommend. Slow pace and the only really engaging scene is the dinner scene.

Acting was good and it was shot pretty average.

really highlights the hypocrisy of pretentious higher class assholes. the exhibition's whole point is being a sanctuary, a place to receive help. yet throughout the movie, every time someone screams for help, people just watch or ignore.

Swedish people are oppressed as hell.

Way too long. Also it's barely a comedy. Overall just a pointless movie about a bunch of pretentious modern artists.

ruben ostlund is making some great modern satires, and i definitely enjoyed this one. bold and unique all the way through with a very specific and only slightly alienating vision. great performances and writing, impactful

fucking amazing

every single scene contains something off/weird/uncomfortable/remarkable. Östlunds style works perfectly, even though the shots stay static on a situation/person for a long time, it never bores you.

also the acting of all the younger kids seen is incredible.

I really liked the way the director tell us about the “animal” that lives inside of each of us, even the most sophisticated people. I definitely recommend it.

so good… not as funny or fun as Triangle but still A/A+
