The Spirit of the Beehive Reviews

The little girls were absolutely adorable with great and natural performances. Beautiful golden cinematography, and the themes were strong, even if the execution didn’t always live up to their potential.
I agree with some of the reviews that by the end I was left craving more-

Third film for my Spanish cinema class.

Unfortunately great cinematography and meticulous storytelling through silence could not support this dull narrative.

pretty good

we see the aftermath of the war but all she sees is run down buildings; we see an enemy of the country and she sees a man in need

It’s filmed in a very beautiful way but I’m never fucking watching again. Yeah it’s artsy but nothing happens the entire movie (there’s a few subplots but that’s it). Worth a watch, but you’ll be a weird mix of bored and creeped out the entire time

Very beautiful and a little bit scary, wasn’t expecting such a good movie ! Sometimes kids don’t play well but clearly not there
