Chris Stall is "meh" on
The Spiral Staircase
Meh noir flick that does a lot with seemingly not much in the way of production

The Spiral Staircase
1940s thrillers just have the best gothic atmosphere, especially in this mansion location. This has all the elements I love in a murder mystery. I just wish it had a bit more tension till the reveals. Also, Dorothy McGuire is amazing!
